Nigerian Navy Officers Visit NIMASA to Strengthen Maritime Security Collaboration

Officers and men of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Quorra have visited the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Operational Base in Kirikiri, Lagos, as part of a study tour aimed at enhancing their understanding of Nigeria’s maritime regulatory framework and strengthening inter-agency collaboration.

The visit focused on deepening the officers’ knowledge of maritime laws, safety regulations, and NIMASA’s statutory responsibilities in promoting safe, secure, and sustainable maritime operations.

Receiving the delegation, NIMASA’s Director of Marine Environment Management, Dr. Oma Ofodile, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to sustained collaboration with the Nigerian Navy in advancing maritime safety, security, and environmental protection within Nigeria’s maritime domain.

The study tour underscores the strong partnership between NIMASA and the Nigerian Navy in safeguarding the nation’s maritime environment through enhanced cooperation, knowledge sharing, and coordinated operations.
