Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has refuted widespread speculation that she has reconciled with her former husband, Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba.
A video clip that has resurfaced on social media and is being widely circulated shows the former couple having a good time together at a nightclub. Many users wrongly thought the clip was recent and it sparked rumours that Annie and 2Baba had rekindled their relationship.
Despite the couple publicly ending their marriage earlier this year, some social media users went as far as to claim the pair were expecting a third child together.
Annie, in an effort to set the record straight, took to her Instagram Story to respond to the growing speculation. She told us that the videos that are circulating on the internet are old and condemned the spread of fake information about her personal life.

“Old videos everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote, dismissing the reports without further comment.
Annie and 2Baba who have two daughters together announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together. Their separation received huge public attention, ending one of Nigeria’s most talked about celebrity unions.
After the divorce, 2Baba moved on and later married Edo State politician Natasha Osaworu, putting to rest any speculation over a possible reunion with his ex-wife.
Annie, on the other hand, was recently caught in another social media debate after she was called out for a comment she made on an announcement celebrating the birth of a child to celebrity fashion designer Luminee and actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.
The actress has kept a low profile despite the criticism and the speculation about her personal life that has repeatedly emerged online, and only addresses misinformation she feels is necessary. Her latest statement makes it clear that reports of a reunion with 2Baba, as well as claims that they are expecting another child together, are completely false.
