Diddy Hospitalised Over Reported Head Injury As Prison Authorities Remain Silent

American rapper and business executive Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly received hospital treatment after suffering a head injury while serving his federal prison sentence in New Jersey, United States.

According to TMZ, the 56-year-old entertainer was taken to a hospital on Saturday, October 10, following an injury described as non-life-threatening.

The report indicated that Combs was conscious and able to speak before being taken for medical attention. However, details about how the injury occurred and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been disclosed publicly.

A representative for the rapper told the Los Angeles Times that his team was working to verify the reports, stressing that his health and well-being were the immediate priority.

The representative also thanked those who had contacted the team with concerns about Combs.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, where the rapper is serving his sentence, reportedly declined to comment on the reported hospital visit.

The development comes amid continuing scrutiny of Combs’ prison conditions following media reports alleging that he received preferential treatment behind bars.

A Los Angeles Times report published on October 2 cited NBC News accounts from four anonymous inmates who alleged that Combs paid fellow prisoners to prepare meals and clean for him.

The reports also alleged that the entertainer had access to a contraband mobile phone and an illegal supply of alcohol.

His representative criticised the attention surrounding his incarceration, arguing that ordinary details of prison life were being portrayed as significant news developments.

Combs is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after a jury convicted him in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

His projected release date reportedly changed from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028, according to information from the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database cited by the newspaper.

The rapper’s legal team has appealed both his conviction and sentence, with the appeal still unresolved in the latest reports.

Further information about his reported injury and medical condition has not been officially confirmed publicly.
