Governor Uzodinma Expresses Confidence in Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his bold economic reforms and expressed confidence that the administration would perform creditably enough to earn a second term in 2027.

Uzodimma made the remarks at a state dinner held at the Government House, Owerri, to mark the end of the three-day inspection of landmark federal and state projects by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Presidential Communications Team in Imo State.

Governor Hope Uzodimma said President Bola Tinubu was like Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, who took office ready to confront the country’s economic challenges with bold and far-reaching reforms, opening a new chapter in Nigeria’s development.

‘The old order has passed and there is a new order now. President Tinubu has a very clear agenda. “He knew the job in front of him and he got on with the reforms straight away,” he said.

He likened the pre-reform economic situation of Nigeria to the bondage of the Israelites in Egypt, drawing a biblical analogy and saying that just as God delivered the Israelites through difficult circumstances, the President’s bold decisions were necessary to free the country from years of economic stagnation.

He acknowledged that there would be some pain in the short run from the reforms, but insisted that they were already paying off, especially in terms of more revenues available to states for infrastructure and human capital development.

Governor described the ongoing transformation in Imo State as a direct product of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Renewed Hope Agenda is what makes all that we are doing in Imo today possible. “We are working for sustainable development, we are investing in infrastructure, health, education and technology because the reforms have created the enabling environment for development,” he said.

Uzodimma expressed confidence that the policies of the administration would continue to manifest, saying Nigerians would give President Tinubu a second term in office in 2027.

In a statement on behalf of Mr. Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication to the President, Mr Tunde Rahman, Director, Media & Publicity, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, commended Governor Uzodimma for what he termed an amazing infrastructure revolution in Imo State after inspecting federal and state government projects in the state for three days.

Mr Dare said the projects inspected were a demonstration of the practicalisation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, through robust collaboration between the Federal and Imo State Governments.
