MILITARY KILLS ISWAP PROPAGANDIST SALIM AL-BARNAWI DURING FAILED ATTACK ON MILITARY BASE

Nigerian troops have neutralised an ISWAP propagandist identified as Salim Al-Barnawi during a failed terrorist attack on a military base in the North-East.

Security reports indicate that the terrorist was among those killed when troops successfully repelled the attempted assault, inflicting heavy casualties on the attacking insurgents.

Salim Al-Barnawi was reportedly involved in the production and dissemination of propaganda materials used by the terrorist group to promote its violent activities and support recruitment efforts.

His death is considered another setback to ISWAP’s propaganda operations, as military forces continue sustained offensives aimed at dismantling the group’s operational and information networks.

The successful defence of the military base underscores the vigilance and combat readiness of Nigerian troops in countering terrorist threats and maintaining pressure on insurgent elements across the region.
