His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, the Olu of Warri, has signed a Cooperation Protocol with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence during the AIM Congress 2026 in the UAE.
The Olu of Warri and Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, joined His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, alongside other government and global institutional leaders at an AIM Congress 2026 event themed “World Governments as Incubators for Tolerance and Shared Growth.”
Speaking at the event, Ogiame Atuwatse III delivered a guest address titled “Tolerance as a Tool for Advancing Peace, Social Cohesion and Shared Prosperity: The Case of Africa.”

The monarch highlighted the importance of tolerance, inclusion and mutual understanding in building peaceful and prosperous societies, while stressing the need for Africa to harness these values to promote sustainable development and shared prosperity.
Following his address, the Olu of Warri and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan signed the Cooperation Protocol between the UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the Royal Iwere Foundation.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening institutional and international cooperation through meaningful dialogue, cultural exchange and initiatives promoting peace, social cohesion and shared prosperity.
The engagement also highlights the growing role of traditional institutions and cultural leaders in fostering international cooperation and contributing to solutions to social and developmental challenges.
