Radiogad Speaks Out After Davido Allegedly Unfollows Him Over Adeleke Remarks

Nigerian content creator Radiogad has defended his decision to criticise Davido’s uncle over the state of affairs in the country, alleging that the singer subsequently contacted him privately to request the removal of the videos.

Radiogad made the claims in a video, where he maintained that he would continue speaking about national issues regardless of the identities or influence of those involved.

According to him, he had published two videos expressing frustration about Nigeria’s situation and criticising Davido’s uncle. He alleged that the singer later sent him a direct message asking him to take down the videos.

The content creator said he chose not to respond to the alleged message because he considered his comments an expression of concern about the country rather than a politically motivated action.

“Davido quickly entered my DM. He wanted me to bring down that video, but I did not reply him. I always stand for the truth,” he said.

Radiogad also claimed that he recorded the alleged communication on his screen to preserve evidence of the exchange.

He explained that the recording was intended to address potential doubts about the authenticity of the message, including suggestions that it might have been generated using artificial intelligence.

The content creator further alleged that Davido unfollowed him on social media after he did not respond to the purported request.

Radiogad, however, said the alleged development would not change his position on speaking about issues affecting ordinary Nigerians.

He argued that public criticism should not be determined by personal relationships, celebrity status or social media connections.

“Whether you are following me or you are not following me, I will keep standing for the truth,” he said.

He also questioned the conditions that led to his decision to live in the United Kingdom, using the development to highlight his dissatisfaction with Nigeria’s situation.

“If Nigeria good, wetin I dey do for UK? If Nigeria dey work, wetin I go do here?” he asked.

Radiogad concluded by insisting that his platform would remain open to criticism of public figures, regardless of their standing in society.

His comments have placed the alleged interaction within a wider discussion about freedom of expression, accountability and the role of social media personalities in public debate.

However, the reported direct message and unfollow remain allegations made by Radiogad and have not been independently confirmed.
