TINUBU RECEIVES NIMASA DG, TASKS AGENCY ON MARITIME SECTOR DEVELOPMENT

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, at the State House, Abuja, where they discussed the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector.

During the meeting, Mobereola briefed the President on developments within NIMASA over the past two years, outlining the progress made by the Agency and challenges confronting the maritime industry.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the continued development of Nigeria’s maritime sector, noting that the establishment of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy was a deliberate move to enhance the sector’s contribution to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The President commended NIMASA for its progress but charged the Agency’s management to sustain its efforts and remain committed to advancing Nigeria’s maritime industry.
