The United Kingdom government has announced plans to ban children under the age of 16 from accessing social media platforms, with the new restrictions expected to come into force in 2027.
The policy is aimed at protecting young people from online dangers, including cyberbullying, harmful content, online predators, and the negative effects excessive social media use can have on mental health and overall well-being.
