The trial of social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged N69.15 million property lease transaction has been adjourned until October 26, 2026, following testimony by a prosecution witness at a Lagos court.
The case is being heard at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja before Justice R.A. Oshodi. Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to the EFCC’s account of the proceedings, shared on social media on Monday, October 12, the first prosecution witness, Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, alleged that the influencer collected N69,150,000 for a five-year lease of a property she did not own.
Okeigwe told the court that the building is situated at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos. He alleged that Blessing CEO presented herself as the owner and offered the property for lease.

The charge states that she allegedly induced Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to pay the money on or about March 21, 2025, by claiming ownership of the property.
Blessing CEO was arraigned by the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 on June 9, 2026. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.
While giving evidence, Okeigwe said he contacted the defendant after a man identified as Mr Tom allegedly came to the property with police officers and had some workers arrested.
The witness said Blessing CEO denied knowing Mr Tom when he informed her of the incident, while allegedly continuing to insist that the building belonged to her.
He told the court that he paid N100,000 to secure the release of his workers. He also identified WhatsApp messages containing photographs of the building that the defendant allegedly sent to support her claim of ownership.
Okeigwe further alleged that payments were made for agency, legal and caution fees during the transaction. He claimed that Blessing CEO also collected money from another individual in relation to the same property.
The prosecution brought the case under Section 1(2) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, punishable under Section 1(3).
Justice Oshodi fixed October 26 for the continuation of the trial. The allegations have not been established as proven facts, and the defendant has denied them by pleading not guilty.
