The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu will fulfill his Independence Day message of transforming the country if re-elected for a second term in office next year.
The First Lady disclosed this in Lafia, Nasarawa State at the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network Grand Rally for the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The rally, which recorded a massive turnout of party faithful from across the north Central geo-political zone, was also attended by top party leaders, including the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Sen. Hope Uzidinma, the Imo State Governor and Governors from the zone amongst others.
The First Lady said: “President Tinubu is a man who believes in the unity, security, and prosperity of our nation.
”The Independence Day message of Mr President, was titled “From Reforms to Prosperity, therefore, Mr President is saying that they are going to reform the sectors, but now is the time for prosperity, and we can see our economy is stabilising.
”Foreign exchange is going down, and investors are coming back to Nigeria. Our farmers too, you can see all our Governors here, they are doing infrastructural development like no other time before.”
Food
Mrs Tinubu further said that the current administration is also tackling food insecurity aggressively.
”As you see now, we have just finished the food bank programme, where we are helping every child and mothers who are pregnant and also breastfeeding.
”This is to ensure that they can have more nutritious food, and also the children that are malnourished can get treatment and also get food to grow healthy. Not only that, our young people who are in school are getting well fund.

”One thing I want to say is that as we all go back to our various states, tell everyone that Mr President is a leader who is very bold. As we can see, he will not stop by being at home to take difficult decisions, he is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity, ” the First Lady said.
She urged the people of the North-Central region to ensure that they inform the people that things would change for the best if Tinubu and Shettima are re-elected.
Building Stronger Economy
She said President Bola Tinubu’s administration is going to build stronger economy, safer communities and a greater Nigeria.
”Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom,” She added.
Other speakers at the rally also said a vote for President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 general elections would be of great gain.
