‘Why I chose to move on’ – Nkechi Blessing speaks on life, healing

Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has reflected on life’s brevity and her decision to live more intentionally after the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings.

In an Instagram post, the actress said she has learnt that life is too short to hold on to regret, bitterness, or postpone happiness.

She wrote: “I am learning that life is too short to live in regret, carry bitterness, beg for love, or postpone happiness while waiting for everything to be perfect. People will disappoint you, plans will change, and some things you prayed for will never happen the way you imagined. But life will also surprise you, heal you, introduce you to beautiful beginnings, and remind you that there is still so much to live for…”

Nkechi Blessing added that she chose to move on because she needs freedom and a more fulfilling life.

“So, I choose to move on. Not because everything was easy, but because I deserve the freedom that comes with letting go. I choose to laugh louder, love deeper, travel farther, wear the beautiful clothes, buy myself the flowers, celebrate my little victories, make beautiful memories, and enjoy the blessings I have today. I refuse to spend my entire life surviving when I can also experience the beauty of actually living!!!”

Her post comes amid mourning in the entertainment industry over the death of gospel minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, who died on Wednesday, October 14, after he reportedly slumped in Ibadan.
