The United States Department of Homeland Security has added 10 Nigerians to its “Worst of the Worst” register, a list highlighting foreign nationals arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over alleged criminal offences.
The latest update, published on the official DHS website, identifies the Nigerians and details the offences associated with their cases. The allegations range from wire fraud and identity theft to drug offences, weapons possession and crimes involving children.
The individuals are located in different detention facilities across the United States.
The 10 Nigerians listed by DHS are:
- Temitope Bashua — Wire fraud, identity theft and fraud — Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
- Ojehoro Lewis — Cruelty toward a child — Conroe, Texas.
- Osemudiamen Kingsley Oziegbe — Wire fraud — Louisville, Kentucky.
- Daniel Oworen — Dangerous drugs — Conroe, Texas.
- Raymond H. Ekevwo — Wire fraud — Oxford, Wisconsin.
- Franklin Dikeocha — Sex offence against a child, including fondling — Dallas, Texas.
- Johnson Ogunlana — Fraud and identity theft — White Deer, Pennsylvania.
- Chukwuemeka Okorocha — Wire fraud, dangerous drugs, possession of a weapon and aggravated assault involving a non-family gun — Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
- Tunde Korede — Conspiracy — Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
- Chukwuemeka Chinye — Larceny from a banking-type institution, fraud, larceny, identity theft and conspiracy — Pollock, Louisiana.
What DHS says about the list
DHS describes the register as a collection of what it calls the “worst of worst criminal aliens” arrested by ICE.
The department said the Trump administration was carrying out its deportation policy by prioritising individuals it considers serious criminal offenders.

“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations – starting with the worst of the worst,” the department said.
Nigerians previously listed
The latest additions come after DHS published another list in July containing 124 Nigerians arrested by ICE and identified on the same register.
The July publication included the names and photographs of the Nigerians, along with the criminal offences associated with their cases.
However, the publication did not provide specific deportation dates for those individuals.
The same applies to the latest group of 10 Nigerians. The DHS update does not provide a specific date or timeline for their removal from the United States.
It is also important to note that being included on the register does not, by itself, mean that the individuals have already been deported. The latest DHS listing identifies them as people arrested by ICE and associates them with the offences detailed on the department’s register.
According to the latest update, none of the 10 Nigerians newly listed was included among the 124 Nigerians published by DHS in July.
